BSc, BTeach, MDiv A graduate of Ridley College in Melbourne. He has taught for many years in Christian schools, and, along with his wife, has ministered to children through school holiday camps in Australia. In addition to his teaching responsibilities at CTS, he serves as Assistant Librarian.

Cameron Davey

Chrisso Handy, MBA, MDiv, DMin (candidate) Regional Executive Pastor at People’s Church Assembly of God. Graduate of Lanka Bible College and Seminary. Has had many years’ experience as a marketing manager and head of customer operations in two leading companies in Sri Lanka. Is currently working on a DMin in Peace Studies from the Asia Graduate School of Theology (Philippines).

Chrisso Handy

PhD He has earned recognition as a Humboldt Scholar (Tübingen University, Germany), is the author of over 40 books, including well-regarded commentaries on Luke and Acts and studies of the historical Jesus. A former President of the Evangelical Theological Society (ETS). He is a consulting editor for Christianity Today, and serves on the boards of Wheaton College and Chosen People Ministries. He has been a New York Times best-selling author in non- fiction and is elder emeritus at Trinity Fellowship Church in Dallas.

Darrell Bock

MMin, Dip (Counselling), Cert IV in AWT International Director of Kidsreach Inc. A pastor and counsellor of more than 45 years. Founding Principal of the Layman’s Bible Institute (New Zealand). An author of more than 60 books and manuals including Kids in Crisis, Child Abuse in the Church, Empowering Children, Strategies to Deal with Bullying, At the Foot of the Cross and Seed of Blood, and Lost in Transition–or Not?

David Goodwin

BTh, MA Graduate of CTS (BTh and MA in Biblical Studies). Having begun her career as a lecturer in computer studies, she moved on to serve as a stay-at-home mum to her two daughters. She is married to Ivor and together they have served at the Kollupitiya Methodist Church. Her ministry has been especially among children.

Denisa Poobalan

Dileeni Abraham BSc, MA Graduate of the University of Peradeniya and Alliance Biblical Seminary (Philippines). Holds an MA in Christian Counselling, with many years of professional counselling experience. She is certified as a Master Facilitator by the Trauma Healing Institute of the American Bible Society. Her ministry has included training and mentoring lay counsellors, teaching counselling, leading trauma healing equipping sessions, and leading women’s retreats. A member of St Luke’s Church Borella.

Dileeni Abraham

Dilip graduated with a BTh from CTS in 2013. He has had over ten years' experience in pioneering and pastoral ministries and served as the pastor of the Sinhala congregation of the Calvary Church Moratuwa. In 2015, he relocated to Anuradhapura and joined CTS as the Coordinator for the Rajarata Extension.

Dilip Gunaweera

BSc (Eng), BD, ThM Honorary Chaplain at CTS. A Methodist Minister (retired). Graduate of the University of Peradeniya, London School of Theology (UK), and Fuller Theological Seminary (USA). With a professional background in Engineering, he lectured at the College of Higher Technology, Katubedda (later, the University of Moratuwa). He is a former President of the Methodist Church, Sri Lanka.

Duleep Fernando

MA, MDiv, PhD Graduate of the University of Edinburgh (UK), and Concordia Theological Seminary (USA), he received a PhD in Greek and Latin at the Catholic University of America, Washington, DC, with a dissertation entitled ‘Augustine the Preacher and the Judgment of God’. He is a missionary of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod, assigned as Theological Educator to South Asia.

Edward Naumann

Einsteen Fernando, BTh, HND (Counselling), PGDip (Buddhist Studies) Einsteen graduated from CTS in 2009. A full-time faculty member, he also contributes his editing and proofreading skills to the work of CTS Publishing. He served for many years as an assistant pastor and pastor of the Kochchikade branch church of Kithu Sevana Ministries. He also served as a teacher, coordinator, and vice principal at the Kithu Sevana Discipleship Training Centre in Madampe. He is involved in the counselling ministry and earned the Higher National Diploma in Counselling from the Sri Lanka Foundation Institute, and subsequently a post-graduate diploma in Buddhist Studies in the field of Buddhist Ayurvedic Psychiatry and Counselling at the Nāgānanda International Institute for Buddhist Studies.

Einsteen Fernando

Academic Dean and Head of Department (Old Testament) at the South Asia Institute for Advanced Christian Studies (SAIACS, India). Having earned an MSc in Biochemistry, she went on to obtain an MA in Christianity from SAIACS, and subsequently a PhD from the University of Durham (UK). She is a contributor and editor (OT) of the South Asia Bible Commentary and serves on the committee for Bible Translation for the NIV.

Havilah Dharamraj

BA (Hons), ThM, PhD Principal of CTS. Graduate of the London School of Theology, UK (1996), and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, USA (2004) where he earned the ThM in Old Testament and Semitic Languages. He was awarded the PhD in Religious Studies from the University of Cape Town, South Africa (2015) for his thesis that argued for the reexamination of the meaning of the Pauline phrase ‘The God of this Age’ in 2 Corinthians 4:4. He is a leader of the Kollupitiya Methodist Church, and ministers primarily through preaching, youth-guidance, and teaching 13-17 year olds in Sunday School. Ivor and Denisa are parents to two adult daughters.

Ivor Poobalan

A graduate of CTS (BTh, 2003), Johnson was invited to teach at CTS, and has served for over ten years as a Visiting and Adjunct Faculty member, and has also taught widely in CTS’ Tamil-medium Extensions. He has been the Senior Pastor at the Tabernacle of Mount Zion for over twenty years.

Johnson Sandrasegar

PhD A professor of Old Testament. Graduate of Durham University (UK). She has taught at All Nations Christian College (UK), London School of Theology (UK), and Cliff College (UK). Her current focus is on making a contribution of teaching to the Majority World. Her special research includes a study of ‘Jeremiah 48 as Christian Scripture’.

Julie Woods

Kumar, who graduated from CTS in 2009, was invited to join as Graduate Assistant in 2010. He is now a member of the full-time faculty as well as the Spiritual Formation Coordinator. He is competent in the three local languages, and has several years’ experience in church and youth ministry. He completed a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies at CTS, and his dissertation was entitled ‘Promoting Transformational Learning in Christian Adult Education in the Church Context (CGBC)’. He worships at the Cinnamon Gardens Baptist Church.

Linda M Bubod, BA, MA, EdD An Associate Professor at Singapore Bible College, she serves as the Clinical Director of the School of Counselling (SOC). Prior to this, she served as the director of the Counselling Program at Alliance Graduate School (Philippines). She was instrumental in helping counselling alumni put up counseling centres in Manila and birth counselling ministries in their churches through her mentorship, guidance and supervision. She served as a missionary for ten years before she enrolled for her MA in Christian Counselling in 1998. She attends the Lutheran Church of our Savior in Singapore where she teaches on emotional health issues from time to time.

Linda M Bubod

Mahinda Munasinghe, BTh, MA Mahinda graduated with a BTh from CTS in 2009. In 2016, he was awarded an MA in Transformational Leadership from the International Graduate School of Leadership (Philippines). Prior to joining CTS, he served for many years with Campus Crusade for Christ and Navigators. In addition to his teaching duties, Mahinda also serves as the Extension Coordinator at CTS. He is a lay leader and preacher of the Methodist Church.

Mahinda Munasinghe

FCCA, BTh, MA, PhD Academic Dean at CTS. Graduate of the London School of Theology (UK). She was awarded a PhD in Peace Studies from the Asia Graduate School of Theology (Philippines). A Local Preacher of the Methodist Church. Author of To Faith Add Understanding: An Introduction to Christian Doctrine. Her previous career was as an accountant in London’s West End.

Mano Emmanuel

Mayukha Perera, ACMA, CGMA, MA, DMin Managing Director of Back to the Bible Sri Lanka (since 2009). Graduate of Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (USA) and Asbury Theological Seminary (USA), and an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK). He served with Youth for Christ Sri Lanka, and in the Anglican Diocese of Melbourne, Australia. A member of the Nugegoda Methodist Church.

Mayukha Perera

Nathanael Somanathan, BEng, MA A faculty member at CTS. A graduate of Wheaton College (USA) with a Masters in Historical Theology. His study of interest pertains to the field of Patristic studies and modern theology. Having gained leadership experience in the corporate world and as a student chaplain at Wheaton College, he currently serves as Associate Pastor at Christian Revival Crusade Church, Dehiwala.

Nathanael Somanathan

BTh, MTD Graduate of CTS. Pastor at People’s Church Assembly of God; and, National Convenor of World Needs a Father Movement Sri Lanka. He also serves on the boards of Global Impact, Lanka Prison Fellowship, and Habitat for Humanity. Head of the Foreign Missions department of Assemblies of God Sri Lanka, and Chaplain of Sportsman in Action. During his long ministry career, he served as Youth Pastor at PCAG, and missionary church planter in Gulu, Northern Uganda.

Neroshan Perera

Nishika Perera, BSc, BA, MA (candidate) Graduate of Harvest Bible College (Australia). Was a credentialled minister with the Assemblies of God. Taught Physics to Advanced Level students for over twenty years. Served on the full-time faculty of CTS for several years, and developed the CTS Extension in the Rajarata. Currently ministers with King’s Revival Church as a pastor.

Nishika Perera

PgDipM (CIM), MA, PhD (candidate) Deputy Principal at CTS. Graduate of Regent College (Vancouver), where he earned an MA in Christian Studies. His interests are in developing integral discipleship and mission in the marketplace, academia, and the public square. He is currently pursuing doctoral research in Sri Lankan colonial history through the Faculty of Graduate Studies, University of Colombo. He worships at Calvary Church, Kirulapone.

Prabo

A full-time faculty member, Hariharan serves as Extensions Manager at CTS. He served for thirty-three years as a Staff Worker of Youth for Christ Sri Lanka (YFC), and, his last role was as the Director of YFC’s National Training Unit. From the inception of CTS’ first Extension programme, in Jaffna, Hariharan has supported the CTS ministry as a volunteer, serving on the Academic Committee and as a visiting faculty member. He brings with him rich experience of living in the Northern province throughout the civil war, working within the trilingual ministry of YFC, and theological study at Trinity Theological College, Singapore.

Rajaram Hariharan

DipAgri, BTh, BA , MA Assistant Academic Dean at CTS. Graduate of CTS (BTh), Open University of Sri Lanka (BA in Social Sciences), and Dallas Theological Seminary (USA). He holds an MA in Biblical Studies. An ordained minister of the Living Christ Church. He has over ten years’ experience in church planting. His interest in cartography has made him a key resource person for maps on the biblical world in Sri lankan publications.

Ravin Caldera

Sanath Athukorala, BSc, BTh, MA, PhD (candidate) A full-time faculty member, Sanath graduated from the University of Sri Jayawardanapura (Sri Lanka) in 1990 and from CTS in 2005. In 2009, he was awarded the masters degree summa cum laude at Torch Trinity Graduate School of Theology (South Korea). He has twenty-two years experience in full-time ministry. Commencing ministry as a youth worker at YFC, he went on to serve as an assistant pastor, pastor, and the principal of the Discipleship Training Centre of the Kithu Sevana Ministries; as well as pastor of Onnuri Sri Lankan Community Church, from 2007-2009, while he was studying in South Korea. At present, he serves as an assistant pastor at All Nations Church Sri Lanka, and as a board member of Youth for Christ Sri Lanka. He is currently working on a PhD from Torch Trinity Graduate University (South Korea).

Shyara Wickramaratne, BSc, MA Graduate of Evangel University, USA (2014) and Regent University, USA (2017). Holds a BSc in Psychology and an MA in Human Services Counselling. She oversees the counselling ministry at People’s Church; and along with her husband, ministers tp pre- teens through the church’s junior youth ministry.

Simon Fuller, BA (Hons) An ordained minister of the Assemblies of God of Ceylon. He serves on the pastoral team of the Assembly of God Balagala. A former Principal of CTS, has also served as Editorial Consultant and Librarian and is currently involved in outreach and teaching/training ministries.

Simon Fuller

BA, MA (Missiology), MA (Theology), PgDip (Demography), PhD Research Professor at CTS. A prolific researcher and author of books and academic articles. He was Professor of Modern History at the University of Colombo, and has been Visiting Professor at the Truman Institute of the Hebrew University (Jerusalem), Lee University (USA), and Fuller Theological Seminary (USA). Author of the seven-volumed Sinhala Bible Encyclopedia.

G P V Somaratna

BTh, MDiv (candidate) Jei Suthagar, who graduated from CTS in 2011, was invited to join as Graduate Assistant soon after, and has gone on to being appointed a full-time lecturer. A radio-journalist by profession, he is involved in the teaching, preaching, and home-cell ministries of his local church. He is a member of Jesus with Us Prayer Ministry. He is currently engaged in the MDiv programme at Tyndale University College and Seminary (Canada).

Jei Suthagar Nesharajah

MDiv, MTh, PhD (candidate) Graduate of Freie Theologische Akademie (Germany) and Evangelical Theological Faculty, Leuven (Belgium). She has served as Professor for Biblical Studies and Church History, and Dean of Women Students at Allahabad Bible Seminary (India), as lecturer in Biblical Studies at AIM College in Eldoret (Kenya), as a faculty member and MA Programme Coordinator at CTS, and at FEBIAS College of Bible (Philippines). Currently, she is working at the Berlin Institute for Transformation in Germany, and working on a PhD in Leadership in International Theological Education from the European School of Culture and Theology (Germany)/Columbia International University (USA).

Tabea Binder

BA, MA, DMiss Chairman of the CTS Academic Affairs Standing Committee. Graduate of Multnomah University, Portland Oregon USA (BA in Biblical Literature), Fuller Theological Seminary, Pasadena, California, USA (MA in Missiology), and Western Seminary, Portland, Oregon, USA (Doctor of Intercultural Studies). The co-founder of Kandy Bible Fellowship Church, he served as its pastor for many years.

Ted Rubesh

Vanaja Rajkumar, BTh Vanaja graduated with a BTh from CTS in 2005. She is currently coordinating the CTS programme and study centre in North Colombo. She previously served in the CTS Library, first as Library Assistant and then as Assistant Librarian for over five years. Subsequently, she worked at Back to the Bible in its Tamil language ministry. Vanaja is a much-sought after preacher, and speaker/ teacher in the areas of holistic child development, children's ministry, and as a trainer of Sunday School teachers. She also serves on the Sunday School syllabus revision committee of the National Christian Council of Sri Lanka. She is a member of St Thomas’ Church Ginthupitiya.

Vanaja Rajkumar

PhD Born in the Netherlands, he immigrated to the US for further education to serve the Lord. His studies at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem confirmed his interest to specialise in the Hebrew Old Testament. He has taught at Geneva College and Reformed Theological Seminary, and at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (USA). His areas of expertise include Old Testament theology, poetical and prophetical books, and the books of Psalms, Proverbs, and Isaiah. Former Director of the PhD (Theological Studies) at TEDS.
